Seems like finding a sheet music for this beautiful piece is almost impossible well might be available at nikovideo (but that did not come to my mind). Anyway certain Neko-chan played this piece on a piano and I loved it so much that I had to know the notes.
After a long time I came back to the song and tried to play it. But this song is in um ...whatever it is called ... anyway C moll and that's the worst it could be for me. I'm incapable of singing in C minor and reading notes in this, that's just insane (anything with more 'bs' is better).
So here is a piano version of an opening for the the game known as Elebits (at least in one region). This song is also featured in Beatmania IIDX Gold and it was my first another difficulty AA.
I really like the mood of this song. The song itself is very technical and precise but it evokes some kind of really strange mood in me... I just can't understand that^_^.
Enjoy.
The video was slowed down to match the length of the song. It runs at 130BPM instead of 136BPM. Also the video is at 29.xxx fps and the audio at 23.975 or something. So hm....Not sure what plays a bigger role in making the video slower.

(if you won't see the flash, just hit F5)
Today I was trying to learn something about distortion, tone and other stuff that I might need. I was exploring how guitars can sound...
Here's what the experiment brought -> The Great Giana Sisters
(Again don't even ask me about percussion....)
This was originally composed by Chris Hulsbeck for the game named The Great Giana Sisters.

My teacher suggested that I should try out Ableton to work with music. We had few sessions and a workshop about the software so I know what it can do, but I could never imagine myself working on it. So to try it out and see how it works I decided to 'transcribe' a song of a choice. At first I thought of NeoMax by DM Ashura but that would take me ages to transcribe so I tried Utopia - a song I was already capable of playing to some extent on the piano. Knowing the notes helps^^.
So here's my experiment. I had to stop somewhere in the middle of the song because I have no idea what the scales KaW has there. I'll try listening to the song a bit more or watch lin nan playing the song later and I might change it. For the time being there's just the 'melody part'. I might try to do some kind of percussion and add some effects next time. I want to explore that as well but for the time being I have no idea how I would even approach percussion and effects. So Utopia version 1. Hope Kyle won't kill me for it^^
EDIT: I added some percussion. I'm not really proud about it. But it more or less works. The major problem is in the goddamn part I can't make out rhytmically or well in other way...

Sweet Dreams
(if you won't see the flash, just hit F5)
Yesterday the school semester ended. One of the submitted assignments was supposed to be a Professional Sound Production class one. I just could not come up with anything and couldn't really record anything.
Yesterday I tried. In the end I came up with this...Could be worked on and it's not finished yet...

Final Audio Assignment
Today I had to finish our final project for the Sound Class. I was afraid that something would go wrong (well...the exported data does not work but um...it might be just our computers not wanting to read the DVD???). Anyway I choose for this assignment Secret World trailer (I have no idea what it is so don't ask me) and I created the sound effects and put it all together and processed it so it could be aired on TV.
There are still some things I would like to work on a bit longer but due to having problems with ProTools I did not manage it on time.
So here's the video. There's a licensed song used in it (Injection of Love) so I won't rather upload it to youtube...
I learned a lot during the classes. I realized what can be done with sound effects and what is needed for a video to have a professional sound. I know now what needs to be done to create a well done podcast or moderate something on radio or TV. The class was valuable and I would like to continue taking other sound classes as well.
In the video below. The sound starts to get late from a certain point and I did not manage to get the sound into the right speakers at the right time. I had a really hard time with this and it is something I need to learn and find a way how to do it properly. Otherwise I'm quite happy with the result, especially when I did not have that much time to finish it.
